She is currently on the Association for Conflict Resolution’s Membership Committee, and sat on the Advisory Council to its Family Section. She was given the Distinguished Service Award for service to the field of mediation by the ADR Section of the State Bar of Michigan in 2003, the Distinguished Mediator Award by the Association for Conflict Resolution in 2004, and the Kumba Award by the Second National Conference on Minorities in ADR in 2005.
Zena has presented at numerous national, state and regional conferences, and is one of the pre-eminent trainers of mediators in the country. Zena is approved as lead trainer in both Civil and Domestic Relations Mediation trainings in Michigan, and is approved by many state and national programs. She was an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Law at the University of Michigan Law School teaching in its first Mediation Clinic in the Winter, 2004 semester. |



Is an attorney and mediator. President of Mediation Training and Consultation Institute, she has been a mediator, trainer and facilitator since1981. She mediates in civil, domestic relations, and employment disputes. She also works with businesses and organizations in dispute resolution and organizational consulting. She is past Regional Vice President of SPIDR, serving on it national Board of Directors, and past President of the national Academy of Family Mediators and the Michigan Council of Family and Divorce Mediation.
