The staff members of The DRC are proud to introduce our Mediator Handbook.  One of our volunteers, Anne Seaman, offered to write it with our help.  We asked her to write it in a way that was succinct, thorough, readable and short.  We hope you agree that she accomplished our suggestions.    Of course, we take full responsibility for the policies and procedures stated in the Handbook.  Please download it into your computer for future use.

We ask that you take the required 30 minutes to read and understand the Handbook thoroughly.  You will notice a few policy changes such as the creation and implementation of an active volunteer mediator status, and an inactive status.

After you have read the handbook please email Crystal at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , to confirm that you have received your copy of the Mediator Handbook.  NOTE: This email confirmation is the first requirement for gaining active status, please refer to the Handbook Page 5 for further information on maintaining active status. (Crystal Collin is the newest member of The DRC staff and has been hired to assist Sally Brush with the center’s expanding Small Claims Mediation Program) Any policy changes and/or updates will be emailed to you as they arise.

Additionally as volunteer mediators for our center please accept our deepest appreciation and share in our excitement over the growth we have experienced this past year and the potential for the future growth of our center.  Your dedication makes it possible for our services to reach beyond old boundaries and empower those in need.

Our warmest thanks!
The DRC staff
