Peer mediation involves training students in problem solving and conflict resolution. Conflict is a natural part of life, and sometimes students may not deal with it appropriately. Peer mediation training provides students with a skill set to help resolve conflicts in a positive manner as trained, neutral, third parties. Through this training, students are taught social leadership skills that can last a lifetime and help them not only at school, but at home, work, and other social situations.
